Questions to consider when you are looking for a puppy:

What size is right for you?
How much space do you have?
How much exercise can you give this dog? Where will the dog live?
How much grooming are you willing to do/have done?
What do you plan to do with your dog?
What past experience do you have with dogs?
If you have children, are you prepared to teach both child and dog to co-exist peacefully?

There are alot of books out there. Many are picture books, which show you what the puppy's look like and offer some basic information about the breeds. Here are a few books that will give you more direction as far as choosing a breed.

The Perfect Puppy by: Lynette A Hart
Your Purebred Puppy by Michele Lowell
The Perfect Match by Chris Walkowicz

There are also many good resources on the internet. If you are thinking of a mixed breed, like a Maltipoo then you should search both the Maltese and the Poodle. We encourage you to do alot of research, and to come in our shop to play with our puppies so you can see their personalities.
